Welcome to the Copperas Bend website. I hope that as you go through the decision-making process of selecting the perfect venue for your event, you reach out and schedule an in-person visit.
Here at Copperas Bend, in the heart of Comanche County on the Edwards Plateau, we’ve found a place we just couldn’t keep to ourselves. Located just north of the Texas hill country, Copperas Bend offers majestic sunsets overlooking a valley from atop the highest point of the 230 acre property. The land is full of native trees, ponds, wildlife and cattle. Each evening presents its own unique ending to the day’s chapter by painting a breathtaking sunset across the western sky.
Derek and I were married in 2001 and have lived most of the time since then in the DFW area. In 2017, an opportunity presented itself for our family to move back to Derek’s hometown and out to Copperas Bend, a ranch in the country that Derek spent many hours on while growing up. And so, Copperas Bend is where we have chosen to plant our roots and let our 4 children grow up. The dream to create an event venue for guests in search of the perfect place to have their group gathering began in 2015, and with the establishment of Copperas Bend, LLC in 2017 it finally came fruition in 2019.
We began building the 4,000 square foot, climate controlled barn venue, in 2018 using the classic red with white trim color scheme. After the barn was built, we added a 23’ vintage grain silo and windmill with plans to add a couple more silos in the near future. We also added an 80’ clear span bridge across one of the many ponds making it the perfect spot for pictures or for the backdrop of an outdoor wedding ceremony. The barn has the capacity to host up to 200 guests, but also the flexibility for a smaller, more intimate event. From weddings and corporate events to family reunions and birthday parties, Copperas Bend was designed to be able to rise to the occasion of a more formal event with fine dinnerware or a more casual event with disposable utensils.
Our vision for Copperas Bend is to serve each guest with a servant’s heart and create an atmosphere that exceeds your wedding or event expectations. Even though we may not get to know you well, we hope that you will be comfortable and happy and that Copperas Bend will be a place where memories are created that will last a lifetime.
